Tow kwar pop!

branding

Working in pairs, Martin, and I rebranded a long-established local food store in Tiong Bahru Marketplace, as part of our Year Two project in my Visual Communication and Media Design diploma course.

We chose to work with Mr Lee and his Tow Kwar Rojak Store as we wanted to make it our personal mission to uplift and bring his brand closer to more food seekers who treasure traditional taste with touches of speciality.

Birth of the Logo

We tapped into round-edged designs to amplify the brand attribute of modernity while keeping the image of "pop" in mind.

We then decided to further develop and input the brand attribute of traditional to the final logo.

Brand Packagings

Soggy and wet tow kwar pops were one of the few major problems that customers complained. So we designed a new and improved takeaway experience that is unique to the brand. Furthermore, we designed chopstick packets that leave customers with a fun "pop" sound when twist and opened.
